Materials Sustainability: SEKISUI Environment Sustainability Vision 2030
In 2013, the SEKISUI Chemical Group formulated the SEKISUI Environment Sustainability Vision 2030 as its Long-term Environmental Management Vision. We understand that corporate activities and all issues relating to the Earth’s environment have both a direct effect and indirect impact on biodiversity. With that in mind, we recognize that solving a range of important issues—such as climate change, the depletion of natural resources, and ecosystem degradation—is how we work globally toward realizing “an Earth with maintained biodiversity.”

- Lessening our environmental impact by conserving energy and other resources
- Targeting a net sales percentage to at least 50% of environment-contributing products
- ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for an effective environmental management system (EMS)
- Training programs for environmental personnel
- Reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing activities
- Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle throughout products’ life cycles
- Introducing V to Heim smart homes
- Implementing new waste reduction activities
- Reducing water consumption
- Increasing environment-contributing product development, such as underground heat collection pipes and a water-soluble film to reduce water waste
- Improving green spaces around our business sites
- Making energy-saving investments
- Creating eco-factories
